Vanessa Tribastone has more than 14 years of experience working with public and private sector organizations to develop strategies that expand their impact, improve operations, grow strategically, and more effectively engage with public policy. She has experience supporting nonprofits, foundations, federal and state governments, and private sector organizations. She has also been involved in multiple implementation strategies to execute strategic plans, developing and leading changes to organizational capabilities and processes. Most recently, she has worked for a variety of non-profits, including American Councils for International Education, Higher Achievement, and The Volcker Alliance, and federal agencies, including offices within GSA, EPA and Smithsonian Institution.
Vanessa participated in the Broad Residency, a 2-year leadership development program in K-12 public education. She served as special assistant to the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education where she focused on private sector engagement and strategic partnerships in support of various initiatives such as Race to the Top (RTT), Investing in Innovation (i3), and career and technical education. Prior to the Broad Residency, she worked for Accenture’s federal government strategy practice as senior manager working on organizational strategy and operational improvement projects for government clients, and The Advisory Board Company where she researched and advised on hospital operations best practices.
